At the Sharif Hussein bin Ali Mosque in Aqaba, the whole Friday sermon is interpreted into sign language. The local Awqaf has done this every week since 2019. Deaf people come from all over Jordan and from abroad, and Friday has become a weekly meeting point. A deaf association with more than 150 members has grown up around the mosque.
