Italy's first deaf-run bar, order in LIS
Senza Nome ('no name') was opened in 2012 by deaf founders Sara Longhi and Alfonso Marrazzo, just behind the Mercato delle Erbe. You order in Italian Sign Language (LIS), with small notes, or by pointing at the photos on the wall. The bar also hosts exhibitions, readings and cultural evenings with deaf artists. In 2021 the founders were made Knights of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
