Luhu was founded in 2022 by Deaf Engelien Kester and Dennis Hoogeveen. Everyone who works there is deaf and uses Dutch Sign Language; you can sign, point or write your order. The name honours Sam Pattipeiluhu, the first deaf teacher in the Netherlands.
