Deaf association of Wakayama Prefecture (JSL)
The regional deaf association for Wakayama Prefecture and a member of the Japanese Federation of the Deaf (JFD). It is run by deaf people, campaigns for Japanese Sign Language and deaf rights, and brings deaf people together for club, sports and cultural activities. Japanese Sign Language (JSL) is the everyday language.
