Bursa's deaf association since 1957
Bursa İşitme Engelliler Derneği was founded on 22 June 1957 and is the meeting place for deaf people in Bursa. The association runs culture, theatre and film screenings, celebrates Turkish Sign Language Day on 7 June and has had a deaf team in the traditional sword-and-shield dance kılıç kalkan since 1987.
